Veneers are thin, custom-made shells placed over the front of your teeth to change their color, shape or spacing. Whether they are the right choice for you is decided in a consultation, and any plan is built around your face, your bite and your goals.

Every smile is different, so every plan is too. Dr. Daniil Payziyev will explain your options, including whether veneers make sense for you, before anything is done.

Before and after: front gap closed with veneers and crowns

Veneers and crowns, front gap closure. Before on top, after on bottom. Individual results vary.

What veneers can change

  • Gaps between front teeth
  • Chipped, worn or uneven edges
  • Teeth that are discolored in ways whitening does not address
  • Teeth that look too small, too long or misshapen

Who may need other care first

Veneers are not the right starting point for everyone. Decay, gum disease or a bite problem usually need to be treated first, and for some smiles a different option fits better. We examine your teeth and gums before recommending anything.

Veneers or something else?

Whitening

Changes the color of your teeth. It does not change their shape or the spaces between them.

Bonding

Tooth-colored material shaped directly onto the tooth. Often considered for smaller changes, such as a chip.

Alignment

Moves teeth into a better position. In some cases it is followed by veneers. See Smile Correction.

Not sure which one fits? That is what the consultation is for. We will walk you through the options that suit your teeth and your goals.

Common questions

Are veneers right for me?

It depends on the condition of your teeth and gums, your bite and what you want to change. We examine you first and tell you plainly if another option would serve you better.

Will veneers look natural?

Shape, size and color are planned with you so the result suits your face and your other teeth. Individual results vary.

How much do veneers cost?

The cost depends on your plan, including how many teeth are treated. We go over it with you after your consultation and before any treatment begins.

How long do veneers last?

It depends on your bite, your habits and how well they are cared for. Dr. Payziyev will explain what to expect for your situation, and regular checkups are part of looking after them.

Do I need other treatment first?

Sometimes. Decay, gum disease or a bite problem generally need to be addressed before cosmetic work. We will tell you at your consultation.
